Sorry for the late post, dad finally got a chance to sit down, busy day !!!

Not sure what was going on here, everything was peaceful and quite .....
Then the flying Dragon body checked Gus ...
Chaos ensued and finally a hockey game broke out ............

Gus the Watch Dog

As you can see in the following photo's, Gus is the perfect watch dog, he sits and WATCHES dad cook. In looking at these photo's, dad is reminded of one of his favorite series of Road Runner cartoons with Ralph the Wolf and Sam the Sheep Dog. Gus has the perfect Sam the Sheep Dog stance.

So in honor of Warner Brothers and Wylie E. Coyote, dad has decided to subtitle these photos with a couple of the Latin names given to Wylie E. Coyote.

Louie's Nemesis'

Louis has a nemesis', and although it looks harmless, in Louie's mind a moving garden hose is pure devil spawn. Look closely at the hose end, many battles have been fought by Louie.

Baby Love and her Mom and Louie!

Aren't we a great looking pack? Baby Love was trying to sleep on us again but Louie decided to give her some kisses to try and wake her up.
We had a great visit with Baby Love and her family. Thanks everyone...

Rainy day here in Texas. We are going over to visit Louie's sister Baby Love and we can hardly wait. We are sure she will be excited to meet us again.

Puppy Photographs

These are the first photographs of Gus. They came from the breeder.

We are running late tonight, mom & dad went to the first "obedience class" tonight, we get to go along next week !!! After we are through the "obedience classes," Gus gets to move on to "herding classes."

Our lake levels are again getting high and we haven't hit the rainy season yet, if you look between the trees one can see the 4 posts of the concrete pier we were standing on last weekend.

Louie and Baby Love

This is my sister Baby Love.

Suzanne at Justin Animal Control has adopted her and sees to this constant care. Suzanne is truly a special lady. God only knows that the world could use more people like Suzanne.

Baby Love was born blind and having seizures. Suzanne, her mom, raised money on Baby Love's blog to help get her the surgery needed to put a shunt from her brain to her abdomen. Baby Love no longer has seizures but she is in need of constant care.

As Baby Love is still blind, she needs to be shown her water and food bowl. She needs to be carried outside for potty breaks. As Baby Love is a special needs puppy, she sleeps most of the time. When she does wake up Suzanne says she can turn into "The Red Devil" hopping around and usually running into things.

We want to thank Suzanne and her husband Steve for inviting us out to meet Baby Love. Suzanne and Steve are truly wonderful people and Baby Love is certainly blessed to have them.

We are looking forward to visiting them again !!!

I got it!

I told you Mom had a picture of me getting that stick. I can really make a splash. That stick just can't get away from me. Chasing stick is so much fun... I bet you would never have guessed what a big splash a blue heeler could make. I so enjoy chasing those sticks...

Look what I found

While running through the tall weeds I found something really great. Oh ya it may just be a stick to you but to me it is a real prize! This is why I
really love going to the lake. You can never tell what kind of goodies you will find. Dad finds stuff digging in the dirt and all I have to do is look around..

Iguana or just a large lizard?

Look closely! You will see the lizard on the left side of the tree. It was one huge lizard Mom said it was big enough to be an iguana! I don't know what that is but apparently it is quite large. Dad said there was another one on the other side of the tree and he tried to get it to move around so Mom could take a picture of both of them but Mom's camera battery went dead. Darn....

What is in the frig Dad

Dad is looking in the frig for something to eat. I
don't know what he will find but I know that people food is always good. Maybe some cheese? I love cheese. Maybe there is some left over roast beasties? Mr. Gus loves that too. Sometimes Dad and Mom save bones for me... Mmmmm
What ever it is I know it will be crazy tasty...

Dan & Me Again

Check out this plastic bottle I found floating in the lake, I put it right by Dad's hand to show him my new prize toy.

He was ignoring me again !!!

What this picture doesn't show is I got water in my ears, well actually I was soaked to the skin. So right after mom snapped the shot, I stood up and started shaking that nasty old lake water out of my ears.

It is truly amazing how fast Dad can move with stinky old lake water flying everywhere !!!

I should do that more often, Dad needs a little more exercise !!!

Me & Sis

You will have to excuse the picture being a little dark. Just as Sis was about to snap our portrait I turned my head and planted a big old wet tongue across her face. I am a quick one !!!

Dad was a giggling at Sis's attempts and I was getting a lick in every chance I could, I mean it may be a day or two before this opportunity comes around again !!!

Happy Easter everyone !!!

We went to the lake today, my weekly exercise, I get to run without the leash if there isn't to many people around and today was no exception.

So here is a picture of sis and I, it took her a couple of attempts to get a self portrait as I kept turning my head and giving her licks on the cheek. I was just telling her "Thank You."

Then it was time to come home and share a traditional Easter pizza with dad. Dad says it was a homemade Tombstone pepperoni pizza. I just know it is dad's favorite meal and what better way to spend Easter than to share dad's pizza.

The Tease

As you can see, I am an instigator when dad is trying to concentrate on digging something out of the ground.

Don't think Dad hasn't noticed me inching up on him with my frisbee, he has, but is ignoring me until I get a bit closer.

At the moment I got the edge, the metal detector is between me and his hands, when that left hand comes over the detector I shift my weight as I know the game is on !!!

Dad and Me

Mom is off spending time with her mom & dad, so that leaves me stuck with my dad.

He is kind of a softy when it comes to feeding time. He got home an hour early today, so I ran right over and sat by my bowl, wagging my tail the whole time, giving him the old sad eyes I am starved look. And ya know what happened, dad fed me early !!!

Here is a picture of me and dad at the lake, I had found a frisbee, but kept my distance as dad would pretend to ignore me and then try to take my new frisbee.

My New Ride

Check out my new ride / lake mobile. After Dad driving the same Lake Mobile for 17 years he finally has a styling ride!! I look really good sitting in this ride. I even got leather seats. Mom wouldn't let me get in the water today though. I don't think Dad was ready for me to break in the new mobile! He has promised to get something to cover my seat so I can again go swimming.
