See how deep in the water I am? Those reds won't dare come out this far. They just stand in the shallow water and wait for me. They are both pests..

Mountain dogs?

We found this nifty hill to climb on while at the lake yesterday.. We checked it for all the usually smells and I left a little bit of pee-mail there.. Nothing to exciting was found.

What is it?

We always find something at the lake. Callie just couldn't figure out what I had found. There was some tasty bones under there, but I got them before she had a chance..
We didn't make it to the lake. It is trying to rain out there so we stayed home. Maybe tomorrow!

We thought we would play the Bae Bae game today. Hiding at the lake.

We have 91 degrees today. It is almost as if Summer is here already. We sure hope it holds out till tomorrow so we can get to the lake after mom comes home..

Mom can we take this stick home? It would look nice in the backyard!! Gus come on over here and help. We just need to get it to the truck. There is lots of room in the back..

Louie didn't like the sticks on the beach so he decided that he should go get his own in the water. He spent quite a bit of time trying to pull this one out of the water..

Ya I passed!

I went with Dad to a herding trial yesterday. This isn't a picture from yesterday but Mom thought she needed to post a picture of me with sheep since that is what I was doing. It was a very long day since I was the last one to do my run. Also I was the only Cattle dog in the competition. Well I did a great run and I passed. Woo Hoo.. The judges were really impressed with me. I did and actual controlled run! I also must point out that I was NOT on a lead in the trial..

I got her Mom!

Louie is always keeping his eyes on his sister while we are at the lake. He thinks that if he has her by the leash she won't get to far..
Dad and Gus are off doing a P.T. trial today. We are just waiting around to see how he did. We sure hope they get back soon. Don't tell Gus but we really do miss them..

Hey Wait for me!

That little girl is always off doing her own thing. Then she is busy trying to catch up. What are we going to do with her? As you can see she should have been a lab or a setter. She loves the water no mater how deep..

We are still busy looking for Dad a job. We think that a job at the lake would be just the best. Then we can all go to work..
Well we made it to Friday. Not a big weekend planned. Mom has to work so it probably will be quite boring waiting for her to come home..

I want a taste..

We have a cloudy day today. Warm but it is trying to muster up some rain..

The sun is setting on our fun..

Mom and Dad let us stay at the lake Friday night until the sun decided to set. We didn't mind anytime at the lake is a good time..

And who said that deaf dogs could't herd.. It appears Louie has everything under control here.
He is so proud when he brings those sheep back to mom..
Oh and look at me! I got those sheep shivering in their hooves.

Bloodhounds?

There are all kinds of different smells at the lake. You never know what you might find. From fish bones to perfectly good beef or chicken bones..
We had a great time at the lake on Friday night. Of course Mom and Dad were happy since we took a nap when we got home..

Wait for us!!

Not Snow but ice in Texas!

We woke up this morning to this. Well it isn't snow but ice.. It didn't stop us from enjoying the funny white stuff. Us heeler's don't care what it is we just know it is fun to play chase in. A little bit of slipping and sliding but that adds to the fun..

Mom and Dad stayed home today to stay out of the mess that this ice has caused. Many accidents are being reported on the overpasses. The good day to just stay home and enjoy the day with us..

What are you doing Dad?

While Callie was herding the neighbors dog decided to make an appearance. A very large German Shepard, of course that little girl, thinking she was big and bad ruffled up the hair on her back and began to make this really low growl. Well in order to get her mind back on the goats Dad picked one up. Well it worked she didn't know what Dad was doing and again became interested in the goats..

Callie's first time herding!

As you can see the little girl is so proud of herself herding those sheep. At first she thought she should chase the sheep but after a few tries she got the idea.

Later she got her chance with the goats. She was really good at keeping them walking behind Dad. One tried to escape but she moved him right back over with the other ones. Everyone was so proud of how well she did.
