What you see at the lake..

Look at what we saw at the lake!! No is isn't a purse or a Texas speed bump it is indeed an armadillo. He just meandered in the ditch as we walked by.. Hey Dillo want to play with us Heeler's?
Gus, Look at the stick we found at the lake. Now that is really a Heeler sized stick.
Louie, Look Mom I am bringing it back.. Sure glad we decided to come to the lake today. We always find treasures there...
Callie, Don't worry I got this one.. Gus you just hang back.. As you can see at the bottom left of the picture is Louie's ears. Once again not getting to wet..
Now this is truly a three dog stick or should we say and H3 stick?
We do need to mention that Mom thought we smelt really bad when we got home so she got the soap and the hose out.. Now that is just pure torture but the trip to the lake was worth it...

Lake Fun...

Oh yes we got to go to the lake this afternoon...
This is after our walk. Dad let us cool our feet and get a drink. Of course Louie didn't get his tootsies wet.. We are all smiles though...
Look who had the nerve to show up on our walk. He didn't stick around long after he saw the herd of Heeler's on the way down the road...

Yepper we made it to the lake today. We had to make sure Mom got her steps in. Man that Mom sure knows how to tire us out. We were some panting heeler's by the time we were done.

We had a pretty nice day today.. Just cool enough for a nice walk and some heeler fun in the backyard.. Mom has a hard time getting pictures at the lake with us on our leashes. Just to many people around to let us run free..

The rain is really a welcome surprise since everything is so dry here in Texas. It has cooled things down quite a bit. Yahoo..

Football Season?

Are you ready for some football? It has to be football season we found this nice football at the lake.. It was kind of hard to hold on to but us heeler's figure out the right technique..

We hurried out to a different Park this AM. This park is kind of out of the way so Mom was able to walk us down the shoreline and let us have some fun in the water.. Now it is time for a nap. That swimming sure does take a lot out of us..

To the Lake..

Callie spotted this guy on our walk. He didn't even fly. We are sure he noticed that we were on leashes and Mom had a good hold on us..
What a nice morning we had for a walk. We were a bit disappointed there was lots of people and other dogs so no off leash fun in the water.. Mom did get a picture of us cooling out feet.. Of course Louie doesn't really want to get his feet wet.. He stayed close to shore..

Yes we got Mom and Dad up early this AM and headed for the lake.. Dad kept saying, "the sun isn't even up yet" It was a beautiful morning for a nice walk and a little playtime in the lake.. There can't be any better way to enjoy Independence Day..

Marley being silly. She just loved playing in the water. She jumps through it, splashing as she goes. She certainly is a happy puppy.. Marley definitely has come a long way since Sis adopted her.. Sis says she weighs 45 pounds now. She was only 30 when she got her..
