Wait for me!

I stole the ball from Louie so he decide he needed to chase after me. As you can see he has a bit of A.D.D. at times.. He did catch up to me but he didn't get the ball..

It is like 80 degrees today. We are hoping that dad gets home early so we can make a quick run to the lake.. If not tonight we sure hope it is nice tomorrow so we can get to the lake then..

Louie's Treasure!

Louie found this ball while we were at the lake but as you can see the first time he tried to pick it up he popped it. Guess that is why Mom doesn't buy us those kind of balls. She did get us a basketball which we haven't been able to pop yet!!

Tomorrow the weather man is predicting 90 degrees in Texas. From snow falling last Thursday to Hot this Friday...

Us and Dad!

Mom got a picture of us with Dad at the lake. Dad likes to dig in the dirt while Mom and us wonder around checking out everything..

He hasn't found an really really good treasures yet.
Lots of coins but you know coins add up and he like doing it..

We are so Happy!

Mom wore us out at the lake so she got a nice picture of us during our down time! Mom thought it was funny that Louie was actually smiling. He doesn't usually pant but he did yesterday.. She said mission accomplished, we were tired...

Look what we found at the Lake

If you look very closely you can see it. Louie found a tennis ball while we were at the lake. Of course I jacked it from him. Mom says he is getting really good at fetching. He even gives it back with a little bit of coaxing from Mom. Like the stick though, by the end of the day he was letting me go get the ball and then he would try and take it from me when I got back.
Mom put the ball in the back of the truck so we can play with it again at the lake. Ya..

The snow is all gone!

This is the last picture of the snow. We got up this AM and the snow is gone. There is frozen ice on the patio but the nice fluffy white stuff has disappeared. We are quite depressed. We had so much fun playing in that stuff..

The weather man is predicting 60 degrees tomorrow so hopefully we will be back at the lake..

Yes we saw this guy at the lake!!

While at the lake we saw this little cardinal. She was so happy. She just let Louie and I run right under her.. Mom was a bit disappointed in the picture since she is so far away but you can still see her..

We got snow in Texas!!

It was a beautiful day on Sunday and then yesterday it decide to rain most of the day but in the afternoon this is what happened! You got it we got snow in Texas. Louie didn't really know what to think of it. He was busy trying to catch snow flakes on his tongue. I of course really wasn't sure what it was either but it did manage to get out there in it and do my business...

What is over there?

While at the lake we found something very interesting or at least we thought it was. Both Louie and I were busy investigating when mom snapped this picture.. Oh we didn't find anything interesting but it sure was worth a try....

Gus let's go this way!!

That Louie is being a pest again. Trying to get me to go where he wants to go. Well I am not having it!! I am the big brother and I say we go this way. I think I smell some really good bones over here!!

We were up early this AM. Louie and I decided to be pests so we had Mom and Dad up at 7:30 and at the lake by 8:30. Of course they are predicting thunderstorms so it is a good thing we did...

Treasures at the lake!

See what Louie found at the lake? Yep it is just a stick but he was in heaven.. He chewed on that think for quite awhile before he lost interest.

It was quite overcast today so the pictures isn't that great. Of course now that we are home the sun has come out.. I sure hope the sun shines tomorrow!!

Mom caught us in action again! Looks like the big brother is winning again!! Louie has all he can do to try and stay away from me..

More fun at the lake!

The chase is on.. We sure love the sunshine and the green grass.. It was still a bit chilly so mom tried to keep us out of the water so we had to have fun in our own way. I think we managed very well..

What was in there?

I went into that culvert and Louie was such a chicken that he wouldn't go in. I didn't find to much in there just rocks and debris. Not even any little varmints to chase.. Needless to stay I didn't stay to long...

I'm not going to get wet...

Gus, Mom said we can't go in the water!!! I didn't actually hear her but it is just way to cold to get in there today...
That Louie is such a sissy sometimes. He didn't even want to get his feet wet... I was just going in the get a nice drink...

This is me NOT getting wet at the Lake!

We went to the lake today but it was quite cool out. Mom bundled up with her hats and mittens and told me not to get in the water. Well I just could not resist. "Hey Mom we are at the Lake." She would not throw the stick into the lake for me to get no matter how many times I barked at her.. Louie of course was a Momma's boy and listened. He got his feet a bit wet but that was all..

We spotted this guy at the lake the other day. Mom actually got pretty close to him before he flew away. He is about the most unique bird we have seen.

He is getting so big!

Mom took this picture so that everyone would know that I am still taller than Louie.. Although I think he still has bigger ears than I do, even though they are just for decoration.. I am not sure if I want him to grow into those ears he maybe bigger than I am...

Can I help?

There he goes again, letting me do all the work..
I get the stick and he tries to steal it from me.. Notice he did get pretty wet in his attempt to jack my stick. I don't even think he realizes that he is wet...

I really do have it!!

Mom just wanted you all to know that I really did get that stick. As you can see I got all wet.. Sometime I get water in my ears when I do this and one of my ears is usually lowered but not this time. I grabbed it perfectly...

Even though the stick was way really deep I still went and got it.. Mom laughs at me because I always jump at it and manage to put my entire head under the water...

I can do it too!!

That Louie has to copy me again! He had to show mom that he too could jump over the log.. He is such a copy cat!!

Ya!

Doesn't this look like fun? While at the lake Mom got us to jump over this log. Look at me I am almost flying!!!

Today was a very dreary day. Mom had to go to work and it rained the entire day. Just what happen to the wonderful sunshine that we had last weekend?

Sharing?

I don't think this is called sharing Mom. I think it is called tolerating the little guy!! See he got a hold of the good end all I can do is smash it....

It is a gloomy day in Texas but at least we didn't get the 10 plus inches of snow that Grandma and MeMaw got in Wisconsin. They both tell us that they are tired of all the snow but more is predicted for Sunday. Only 13 more inches!!!! It is may be a record setting year there...

Air born!

This is Louie being silly again. I get the stick and he jumps like a deer after me. Mom has to laugh at him since he really doesn't realize how wet he really is getting..

Another nice day in Texas accept for the wind. Another Winds-day out..

Look what we found!

We found this awesome toy at the lake this weekend. Of course Louie thought he should have it so the chase was on. He did have one thing up on me though he figured out how to get a good grip on it.. See if you grab it by the neck you can easily jack it. I tried to grab it by biting it and that really didn't work so well....

Just hanging out in the woods together!

There is a small woods near the lake where we go. Lots of different smalls and things to see. Louie just follows me around through the trees and back into the lake.. Mom has been trying to get a picture of us jumping over that log but we are not cooperating with her... he he Mom is so silly she is trying a sneak attack.....

Look what Louie has!!

That Louie is always finding his own treasures at the lake. He found this funny looking stick. Mom threw it in the lake and I had to go retrieve it since Louie hasn't quite learned that one yet...

It was another nice day in Texas but it is supposed to start raining tonight and then turn colder tomorrow. I guess winter is not yet over...

Who's stick is it?

Darn that Louie trying to take my stick again. I usually just let him have it so he will take it to Mom so she can throw it again!! I am one smart heeler!!

Another lovely day in Texas. I am sure we will be headed to the lake soon so more water sports!!!

I'll just wait here!

Yepper we made it to the lake again today. The weather was just beautiful. Louie decided he would wait in the shallow water while I went and got the stick.. As you can see I am all wet while Louie is only partly wet...

Bitey face time?

The fight it on. Louie thinks he can win again. I still have a few things to show him though. Maybe when he gets older he will learn to just give it up!!

Tomorrow it is supposed to be 70 degrees F out. Mom said we should be able to go to the lake again since Louie's stitches are healed... Mom gave Louie a bath today, he tinkled in his condo and got it all over himself so she thought it was time. I sure hope he knows not to get dirty at the lake tomorrow or Mom will put him in that tub again....

Chase!!

Look at that Louie he thinks he is going to win this time. I have news for him though... I am right on his tail and gaining ground.. You can even see me kicking up the dust to keep up. Mom thinks it is funny because that Louie never gives up trying to best me... Maybe someday he will win...

Look what Louie found!!

I found that round thing that looked like a frisbee at the lake but Louie was so happy he found a stick. Mom was really proud of him he actually brought it back when she threw it. Of course he didn't realize that she was actually trying to tire him out. When will the little guy ever learn?? Oh just to let you know it worked. He slept the entire afternoon when we got home....

Dad left!!

Dad went somewhere without us so I am just going to sit here and look out the window until he comes home. He took that silver stick that he always has when we go to the lake and left us here!!!

It is all Louie's fault. He has to take it easy so we can't go to the lake today.. Brothers ruin everything...

What's out there?

Gus don't go to deep I am not sure if I can swim yet..

That Louie still follows me everywhere but look he won't go very deep into the water no matter what I find out there...

It was 80F in Texas today. I sure wish Mom and Dad didn't have to work. Maybe we could be at the lake doing this again...

Camouflaged!

Louie found a stick while we were at the lake last week. He thinks he is so smart laying in the grass all camouflaged.. As you can see Mom did find him so he is going to have to try harder next time...

We have a nice sun shiny day out today but Louie is supposed to be taking it easy after his surgery so I don't think we are going to make it to the lake. :0(

Back with Mom!

This is where Louie spends most of his time since he has come home from the Vet.. He seems to think he is a lap dog even though he now weighs 26 pounds.

Louie is supposed to take it easy for 10 days so I don't think we will be going to the lake this weekend..
