Louie got left behind again so he was on a mission to catch up to me.
It was very warm at the lake so we didn't stay to long. Mom didn't want me to get over heated and she didn't want to walk us down the road for fear that we would burn the pads on our feet.. We did have a nice walk along the shore in the water...

I forgot about your question about the journal. No my mom hasn't been keeping a journal-but she has a book of all my herding trials and the judges sheets. A journal might be a good idea-but mom knows what my weakness is-of course I don't think I have a weakness!!! It's my outrun. I have good balance but my outrun and fetch are the parts that I work the most on! At least right now until I get two more legs in Started-then we will continue to work on the outrun and fetch but be adding the drive.....in Started it's fairly easy because mom can be with the sheep-but when we move up to intermediate-which mom is hoping we will-it's harder because mom will have a handler area and I'll be doing more work via commands.

I'm sure it must be very hot over there... Maybe you could send some of that heat over here? We took a turn for the worse in the weather category... Freezing cold with rain... I think that week of sun we had was our summer, and winter has returned again. Sigh...
I'm sure the hot pavement does burn your pads! That's never happened to me before though, 'cause I have lots of fur on my paws that help cover my pads, hee hee...

This Texas weather is getting hotter by the second! We live by the coast so the humidity is usually 100%. OMD do I hate it!

It's still freezing here at night so it's hard to imagine being so hot it burns your paw pads. Ouch! Glad you got to go for a walk before it got too hot.
