I got it this time..
It is another very hot day in Texas. 105 on mom's thermometer in her car on the way home. There doesn't seem to be any rain in the weather forecast either...
Callie is doing well. Still wild as ever.. she is sleeping right now. That is a good thing she isn't bothering us...

Callie Hanging out with Dad1
Mom, Louie and I went for a walk while we were at the lake and when we came back that little pest was sucking up to Dad. What is up with that? We were here first. You would think that Dad wouldn't care about her since she breaks so easily. Louie and I aren't broke!!! We just want you all to know that we are protesting this outrage...

Callie's first trip to the Lake
We got out and went to the Lake early this AM before it got hot. The weatherman says we are going to be in the 100's all weekend...
Callie had never been there with us before. She wasn't to sure of the water but she really wanted to jump and play but Dad tried to keep her calm. We don't want her injuring that foot again but we did want her to get some exercise since she has been caged all week.. Look no cast..

She's home!
Mom and Dad went and got that little pest just a bit ago. She is still wild. The Vet said we have to keep her calm so that she doesn't re-break that leg. She doesn't have her cast but they sent her home with doggie downers to keep her calm. Mom is threatening to give her a bath since she hasn't had one since we got her with the cast incident..

Let's go Gus!
That Louie is leading me around again. He decided we needed to get back over close to Mom and Dad. I really wanted to go play some more in the lake but I couldn't shake the little bugger....
Report on Callie. Claudia the nurse at the vet said she was doing fine. Gave her the sad eyes when she checked on her as if to say let me out of here!!

A day at the lake
I was so brave yesterday. Mom said I was actually swimming when I got the stick. Of course that Louie had to jack it from me. Doesn't he look all proud for stealing it?? What a pest.
Mom called about Callie the vet said she was healing well. She was sleeping.. They told her she should call back on Friday but the nurse said Mom could call back anytime..

Sad Days..
We took Baby Callie to the Vet yesterday to have her cast re-wrapped. The vet came out and told us that her foot had gotten infected and that she would have to stay there until the end of the week. With the infection she could not put the splint back on the foot so she needs to stay off it in order for it to heal. Mom thought that we were being very careful not to get it wet but the vet figures she was chewing on it or maybe the wet grass in the early mornings.
It is very very quiet at the Heeler home. Louie constantly is walking around looking for her. He must really miss that little girl..

Callie''s tongue
Pedro is posting different tongues these days and he was saying he couldn't find one of Callie so Mom got this shot yesterday. It is mostly shark teeth so she will have to try again.
Not much going on today. We are kind of taking it easy. We are headed up to the Vet to get Callie's cast re-wrapped. She is really hard on those things.. Hope everyone has a great weekend..

The Proper Way to Chew a Rug...
First you make sure you have all the rugs in the house messed up. Then you put them all in a pile and have your brother lay on them to keep them still. Then roll over on your back, still keeping a hold of the rug. Then just bite in and chew...

Callie got a new cast..
Mom took Callie to the Vet on Monday to get her X-ray to see how she was doing. When they brought her back she had this pretty new green cast. As you can see it is already dirty. It doesn't take her long to beat them up. She sure is fast with that thing on...

We had an awesome visit with Suzanne. She enjoyed holding Baby Callie although Callie wasn't to keen on it for very long.. Thank you Suzanne we can't wait to come and visit again...

Herding Saturday
We got to go herding again today. Lori said I did really well today. I am barking less and I usually know where the sheep are going even if Dad doesn't. That Dad has a lot of training to do to keep up with me.
Louie is still a mess. He usually stands so the sheep can't get away when mom is trying to take them to the next corner. He is really good though. He isn't aggressive so he gets to go with out a lead.. "Sheep treats" are still his number one priority...
Callie was happy just laying in the shade and watching those funny looking animals..
