Herding Saturday
We got to go herding again today. Lori said I did really well today. I am barking less and I usually know where the sheep are going even if Dad doesn't. That Dad has a lot of training to do to keep up with me.
Louie is still a mess. He usually stands so the sheep can't get away when mom is trying to take them to the next corner. He is really good though. He isn't aggressive so he gets to go with out a lead.. "Sheep treats" are still his number one priority...
Callie was happy just laying in the shade and watching those funny looking animals..

I would love to go herding with you. I'd love to herd. I don't have any sheeps or anything, so I herd Mom, Dad and Zimmie. It's just not the same.
Love,
Ammy
Wow because I've only just met you I didn't know that you do REAL herding - I am very impressed! I don't herd, my Mum's last Rottie was a boofer. Boofing is a form of herding, it's more lazy though, left over from the herding gene. he boofed other dogs if they got nasty too, apparantly he was a gentle boy even when challenged.
Well done Gus.

Te He sheep treats! I was in a field last week covered with sheep treats! louie would have had a field day!
Will Callie get to herd one day?
Gus, I think it's wonderful that your barking is getting less and less-you'll be off the lead soon. You must have more drive than Louie!
I don't have a trial this weekend-just training tomorrow! My next trial is in August!

Hey guys!
Wasn't it HOT and yucky today??
We played a little soccer this AM, then it was AC all the way after that!!
That's great that Callie isn't afraid of the sheep. She may become an expert herder!
Can you please send me a sample of these sheep treats? The sounds good! ;-)
Cheers
Charlie
I hope Callie dont pick that thing from Louie, I mean...the Sheep treats.

Good job, Gus!! The Blueman rocks!!
love & wags,

Gus, you very smart to have learn herding so fast. I think Louie needed more demonstration from you. Do you think Callie will learn faster than Louie when she is old enough to start training too?

Herding sounds like so much fun. Momma has talked about having our herding instinct tested.
Princess Eva
Callie is watching her big brothers and picking up herding pointers! Don't underestimate that clever female mind!
Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch
Hi Gus,
Sounds like you have your work cut out for you - training your brother and sister & your dad!
Love Clover xo
We love that Louie is a free spirit and herds to a different dummer. Not everyone can be professional as Gus. I bet when Callie heals she will give him a run for the money.
I tagged you guys-check out my blog!!!

sheep herding sounds like fun, but also tricky. we think that we would probably just go nuts and chase them into oblivion. you are obviously trained professionals. good job, boys.

Good job,Gus!

Gus,
What are you going to do when you become and expert herder? Are you gonna get some sheep of your own or are you gonna get a job? I wonder what I could herd? Chickens probably.
