Mom's Away on Business

Mom is away on business, so everyone has to put up with Dad for the week.

We did have fun, Marley came to visit, Louie got some garden hose time in, Gus protected the barbecue, all in all a good weekend, so until Mom arrives home we are stuck with Dad's posts.

A bit of Pee-Mail

Perhaps if we tinkle on the ice it will melt faster..

Well we didn't need Callie and Louie to send this pee-mail to get the ice to melt. It is already like 51 degrees today so all the ice has pretty much disappeared accept in the shadows.. The weatherman is predicting 73 by Saturday..

Can I play on the computer?

Callie thinks that she should be doing the blogging. She sits up on Dad's chair checking everything out. She is really good at drinking anything that Dad leaves up there. She really thinks his coffee is great.. Louie and I never drink coffee..

I got a secret!

Those 2 are telling secrets again! I bet they are fixin to gang up on me. What do you think?
We sure hope it warms up so we can have spend some time outside tomorrow. Mom is a bit of a baby when it comes to cold weather. She doesn't like to stay out for very long..

Bittie Face!!

All of us got into the action today. That Callie is getting so big that she doesn't even back down anymore. She used to cower and give up but not anymore..

What's in here Dad?

Dad brought home some sheep treats to put in the pots for this Springs planting. Mom wants to grow some onions and some tomatoes and the treats are supposed to very good fertilizer. It sure smells like treats to Callie though..

I got them Dad!

It just seemed to click for me today. The idea is to have the sheep follow Dad and for me to follow along behind. As you can see I got it. When one tries to sneak away I am to cover and bring it back. Everyone was so proud of me today. I got the gold star for the day... Oh and I didn't do the excessive barking that I usually do..

Two Reds!

We took that little monster over to Sis's last night. Man we had a quiet evening. hehe
This AM the wind is blowing and it is chilly out there. Well the people in Whitesboro called and said that is was too windy for their sheep. I guess they get skiddish in the wind. Well we are going over to Lori's later to herd her sheep without the little girl..
So we may not get to herd those skiddish sheep but we do get to herd sheep... Ya..

I'm not in your shrub Dad!

I am just laying here chewing on this stick. No where near your shrub.. Oh darn Mom caught me red heeler handed!!

Tomorrow we are off the Whitesboro, Texas. We get to herd some different sheep. Callie has to stay with Sis. Sis is excited but Callie isn't talking. We sure hope she doesn't leave any pee-mail at her apartment..

Sniffing our treasures..

One of the best things to do at the lake is to see what kind of treasures we can find. We usually find some perfectly good bones that humans have discarded. Of course there is also the occasional fish bones that Mom is not to keen on.. We don't understand the "Whew, that is gross!"
We have a beautiful day today. It is like 64 and the sun is shinning. What a great time to play zoomies in the backyard since Dad won't be home in time for the lake..

Wait for me guys!!

Callie spends most of her time at the lake trying to keep up with us. Zooming around after each one of us playing bittie face. We are teaching her well. She loves the lake as much as we do..

Look at the stick I found!

This stick just didn't want to be thrown. I tried and tried to drag it out of the water but it just kept fighting back.. Mom just stood there and laughed at me. I was so determined that this was the one...

I win!

Here we are at the lake yesterday. Callie is trying to get the best of Louie. Of course I think Louie is just letting her win. She does look pretty intimidating though..
We had a wonderful time until some people showed up. When that happens we can't run free with our leashes dragging.

She must be up to something..

That little girl is still such a pest. Mom believes she just sits and tries to figure out what she can chew on next. Right now she is playing zoomies, in the house, with Dad's slipper in her mouth. When will she grow up??

Man this having Mom and Dad at home is rough. Mom was cleaning up stairs and she must have went up and down the stairs 100 bazillion times. You know mom has to have 3 shadows every trip.

The weather is all jacked up again this AM. It appears to be misting out there. Of course Mom is teasing Dad that it is snowing. Dad says "Ya right!!"

Are you done yet Mom?

This is Louie's favorite position when Mom is working on her computer. As you can see he doesn't add much insight.. He appears to be bored.
Mom and Dad are off for the next 2 weeks with us. Today the plan is to finish the Xmas shopping and get the house cleaned up a bit.
The weather is cool and cloudy. Like 32 degrees and the wind is blowing so it seems a bit cooler.. You think maybe it will snow in Texas?

Callie has her eyes on Louie. Not sure who is going to attack first. As you can see she still has those Dumbo ears going. To bad they are all decorations she could really use them.. Each of them practices their stalking on the other..
We have a beautiful day here in Texas. It is like 75 degrees and the sun is shinning. Sure hope this weather stays around for a while..
