We made it to the lake early this am but with all the rain Dad said it was just to muddy to play so we enjoyed a nice walk with Mom and Yank.. We did see lots of birds as you can see..

As you can see these guys didn't mind that the water was almost over the road. They thought it just was more water for them to swim around in..

We have a nice day today. It is almost 80 degrees out but again we have that terrible wind.

Pretty day at the lake.

It sure was a nice day here in Texas yesterday. The ducks sure were enjoying the nice cool weather so Mom just had to get a picture of them swimming. Mom wouldn't let me and Louie close to them though. I don't know what she was thinking.... We aren't duck dogs!!!!

Look what we saw!!

Well it wasn't the lake as you know but we did go to a park that had water and ducks!! Their pond must drain into our lake since it was it usual depth. Don't they look like they are enjoying the morning?
I wanted to go talk to them but Mom wouldn't let me. :0( I wanted to play in their water too but Mom wouldn't let me. It was kind of a depressing day but I got to go for a walk so all is well in my world!!!

Yesterday Momma duck had her ducklings out for a swim. This must be how Momma duck tires her family out. They all follow mom where ever she goes. I guess those little ducklings do not know how to fetch a stick.. Do you suppose Momma duck could teach them how to fetch a stick..
We had a pretty hot day today at the Lake. I think that the Texas Summer has arrived. I was just plane hot and humid out. I did play in the water to keep me cool..

Ducks

Look at what was at the Lake last weekend. Those funny looking animals without the fur. There was lots of them. They did not seem to mind all the rain or the water. They just continued their playing on the lake. One of them was even taking a bath. Blue heeler's really do NOT enjoy baths.

Look at these lazy ducks. They were just kind of chillin at the small pond on Sunday. They posed so Mom could take a nice picture of them. If you look really close you will see there are actually three ducks there. 2 are on the bank and one is in the water.. Doesn't Mom's new camera rock?

The ducks are back

While at the lake on Sunday we saw these birds flying over. I guess the ducks are back so evidently Spring is not far away. There was ducks, ducks and more ducks. They just kept coming. I couldn't figure out what that noise was at first but I soon figured out what all the noise was. Aren't they beautiful?

This is the bridge we found on our outing last week. It was at the end of the path after we came out of the woods. Here I am looking at those ducks that were so happily swimming around the pond. I sure wish Mom would let me get down there in the water to catch those ducks. I don't know what I would do with them if I caught one but it sure would be fun..

Check out what we saw on our walk. Ducks, they looked so happy out there swimming around. I sure wish mom would have let me jump in the water and try and catch them but, she just let me stand here and watch... Maybe next weekend.
