Look what we saw at the duck pond!

This little guy didn't seem to be frightened of us at all. He just stood there and let mom take his picture. Even though I barked and barked at him he didn't run away. Dad thinks maybe he too was deaf like Louie....

That is one big duck

Look at the big duck we found at the lake. Mom said it wasn't a duck at all it was a heron. Mom caught him in flight. He was so beautiful flying around the lake. They do not seem to swim like ducks they dive down and grab fish right out of the water. I wonder what fish really taste like. Maybe someday mom will bring me a fish to try..

Mom what is that

Mom what is that. Oh that is one of those funny animals without fur. As I said before Mom got a picture of him and he landed right in front of me. I quickly jumped into the lake to try and catch him but he ignored me. When I finally found him he flew away. I wish I could fly away sometimes then I could get places faster than I can run.

Look at this nervy duck

We went to one of those Tot Lots and there was a duck there that walked right up to us. Mom had to hold me back though since I have never seen a duck this close before. He actually let Mom pet him. I thought he was a funny looking animal. With 2 legs and doing all that waddling... Oh and what kind of a nose is that and where is the fur!!!
Next time maybe Mom will let me get close enough to really check him out..

Ducks

Check out what we saw on our walk. Ducks, they looked so happy out there swimming around. I sure wish mom would have let me jump in the water and try and catch them but, she just let me stand here and watch... Maybe next weekend.
