We miss seeing herons, too...
Great pictures. I love watching ducks. We had a flock gathering at night on a pond near here for several years. I didn't see them the last two winters.

I haven't been up close and personal with a Great Blue. Yet! There's one that flies around our creek, but I still haven't seen him on land.

BIrds in flight are always fascinating. Too cool. I always see a lonely blue heron. Why are they always alone?
