This is the scene that we saw one day when we arrived at the lake. These huge buzzards where interested in something at that picnic table. Or maybe we just interrupted their party?
Of course we jumped out of the Heelermobile and chased them away...

We snuck away on that little girl and this is her trying to catch back up to us. She is pretty fast. Mom is sorry that the picture quality is bad. It is hard to stop a little one that fast in motion...
We finally got some much needed rain today. Mom is home now and we are "Heeler's gone Wild" in her words.. Playing bitey face and zoomies in the house.. Sorry mom no sunshine means hyper pups...

Who is that?

The Red's are at it again. We were playing a nice game of stick when they saw Dad and our good friend Bev. They went to barking like they didn't even know who they were. Perhaps those deaf dogs need some glasses too..
Bev is just learning how to metal detect so Dad is helping her. She found like 30 cents so she was really excited. Dad said she did really well for her first time.
Her husband Yank and Mom kept us busy playing fetch the stick.. Mom says they did a good job since we slept all afternoon...

Early Morning at the Lake...

This is what the sun looked like this AM at the Lake. We were up early before the sun and off we went in the Heelermobile to the lake for a morning dip. Mom is still trying to perfect the actual sunrise but she is getting closer. Keep practicing Mom. If it means more trips to the lake early in the AM we are all up for it..
Mom is realizing that it is pretty difficult to take pictures in the early morning. She just got a silhouette of the Blueman here. But I look pretty handsome if I say so myself... Oh silly Mom through the stick to far so I am just watching it and barking.. Wouldn't want Dad not to know where we were at...

Oh ya that feels so good. Nothing like a good roach to get that water off after a nice dip in the lake.. I think I have taught the little girl pretty good..
Oh ya the Blueman really knows how to dry off. This might even be better than fetching the stick. Well I said might be..
Well Louie doesn't get wet so it isn't often that Mom catches him roaching.. As you can see he is a happy dog just cooling his feet in the water waiting for one of us to get the stick..

Louie is at it again. Trying to steal my stick. What is up with those Red's always jacking with my stick.. Maybe someday they will learn not to mess with the Blueman..
Mom slipped out with the little girl today. She didn't tell us where she was going but it was to the Vet.. Callie scraped her foot pad in the backyard yesterday and she is running around on 3 legs. The Vet said all we can do is give her some doggie drugs and keep an eye on it so it doesn't start ozzing. She should start feeling better by tomorrow they said.. You think maybe it will slow her down? NOT...

We sure can't figure this one out.. She uses her teeth to get a drink? I don't see any stick do you?

Oh today we have overcast so it isn't 100 degrees. The thermometer said 87 on mom's way home. Now that is heeler weather..

I'm flying!

Callie girl thinks she can beat me when it comes to catching the stick.. Look it looks like she is flying to get there first. To bad little girl I am much old and much faster than you...

Mom thought you would like to see a picture of our lake. The sun must have been just right since the colors look so intense..




We had fun at Sis's I, Gus was really concerned about all those kids jumping in that cement pond so I was running around barking at them to make sure they came back up. Of course Dad didn't appreciate all the barking so I spent most of my time in Time Out in the house. But hey Dad there was AC in there. Some punishment..

Let go of my leash!!

We were up early and jumped in the Heelermobile and off to the lake we went. We had a beautiful morning not the high 80's like usual. The lake was pretty quiet but lots of boats..
As you can see Louie is trying to lead me around like he does the little girl but I just wasn't having it. I gave him my Blueman look..
We are off to Sis's for BBQ this afternoon. Mom has already made her bestest ever tator salad and she has the fixins for Ramen noodle salad..
Of course we may have to go for a dip in the pool..

The BlueMan

Mom said today could be my day. I am so excited. Mom snap that flash beast while I was chillin on the tile in the kitchen. What better place to be when it is HOT outside. Although we had a cold front come through today it was still HOT.. Mom's bug said 93 degrees on her way home.

Dad's Home!

Mom gets home around 3 so we spend most of our time sitting in the window seat waiting for Dad to get home. As you can see he is home. The Red Heelermobile is right outside. Hurry up Dad we are waiting for you..

What is it?

We are so bored. It is so hot out we don't want to do anything but get back inside and bask in the AC. We don't even feel like playing zoomies outside..
It is over 100 degrees today. That is just to hot for man or pup.. We sure hope there will be some cooler weather soon..

All Teeth

Louie here, I would just like to thank everyone for the Birthday wishes. Too bad Mom couldn't have remembered MY birthday. I am very thankful for finding the bestest ever forever home..
This is a picture of me getting the upper hand on my little Pest of a sister.. I do let her win once in a while but not today...

Happy Late Birthday Louie!

Mom is such a doofus. She forgot all about Louie's Birthday.
Louie was born in the Justin Animal Shelter on July 7th along with 9 siblings. Louie was adopted but the dude that got him found out he was deaf and returned him to the shelter.. Louie's sister Baby Love was born blind and had Hydrocephalus (fluid on the brain). She had 2 surgeries and unfortunately crossed over the rainbow bridge in 2008 just after Memorial day.. Suzanne has started a Baby Love Foundation Website. This website explains the disease and the treatment available for it. One other brother was adopted and the really bad man brought him back flea infested. Joey now has a wonderful forever home where he is loved.. 3 of the siblings died really early in life. Mom is not sure what became of the others.
This being Louie's day we are sure happy that Mom fell in love with him and brought him into our pack..

I can't even just lay and enjoy the 100+ temp without that pest bothering me.. Mom says I am blue-ing since I am the Blueman. The Red's tan but not me I blue..
It is just to hot outside to even play zoomies. Hopefully it will cool off later so we can have a good game of fetch or zooms when Dad gets home...
Now we are just soaking up the AC..

6th Flolder 6th picture.

Mom is such a doofus, she can remember who asked her to do the 6th folder 6th picture. Well here it is. It was taken March 3rd. Mom has older folders but she has off loaded those since we kind of dropped her PC a while back.. That CD is lost somewhere among the clutter since we still don't have everything on the new floor..
As you can see it is another picture of our favorite place. You got it the lake... Where else would we rather be..

Gus here, I just wanted to share with you a picture of our lake.. As you can see the water is up a bit. Not sure how that has happened since it has only sprinkled here in the last month..
Mom had to add this picture of me since the Red's have begun to take over the Blueman's Blog.. I sure had a good time at the lake. Sure hope we can get back there soon..

Don't worry Mom, Louie's got her. She isn't going to run away as long as Louie is here.. Louie is always afraid the little one is going to wonder off and get lost so he keeps a good hold on her..
The rain stopped today and it is a bit cooler, just 89 on Mom's way home. Wow a cool front for a change...

Life at the pool!

We went down to Sis's new place last night to watch the fireworks. There was good food and of course a bit of fireworks..
We just kind of lounged around the pool. Callie got wet but not me or Louie. Heeler's weren't supposed to swim in cement ponds we are lake dogs. Come on mom what were you thinking...

They got the final coat of finish on the floor yesterday. Today Mom and Dad said we can lay on it as long as we don't play zoomies..
Dad says now the fun part comes. We need to clean up all the dust and install the molding.. Mom loves the molding part. She enjoys painting. Funny old woman who enjoys that?
Happy 4th of July everyone. Not really sure what the plan is. Maybe we will go to Sis's new place and swim in the cement pond...

The big Splash..

Mom got this while we were at the lake yesterday.. That little girl has no fear.. She had the nerve to splash me while going for the stick..
Yesterday those worker men came with this super noisy machine. Of course the Red's didn't hear a thing.. They sanded and sanded and then put the first coat of sealer on the floor. Now we are waiting for them to arrive to put on the final coats.. Hurry up guys so this stuff drys. We don't like hanging out in Mom and Dad's room all the time..
Last night we got to walk over to Sis's new house. Well she is renting it and it has a pool. Ya more water. Of course Louie was the first to fall in and boy that kid can swim. Callie was next leaning over the edge a plop in she went. We knew she could swim. Of course Dad had to grab her and pull her out.. I managed to jump in with biped Toph. Not to sure if I liked it though.. Maybe next time we will be a bit braver..
