What is it?

While at the lake Mom let us play in some really tall weeds. I of course saw something.. I kept running in and out of the weeds trying to find it again.. I never did find it but not for the lack of trying..
We have a beautiful day today. Finally we have some sun to dry out the backyard..
Dad is busy mowing the yard for the first time of the season. Of course we are all parked on the window seat making sure he does it right...

Gus-I am surprised you didn't catch it. Dad sure is lucky to have 3 supervisors. Why is Callie giving u the silent treatment? What's the matter callie girl?
I can keep a secret.

That looks like fun in the tall grass! I love parks, but I do not like lawnmowers and bark when I hear the beast's loud noise.

Our dad's going to have to mow soon, too. I always keep an eye on him from the comfort of the house.
What did you see, Gus? Was it a bird? Sneaky-snake!? A turtle?!!?

When you get back to that field, maybe you will be able to find it. Wonder what it was?

It doesn't matter what it was. it only matters that you knew it was there and was hot on the trail.
