Sharing??
Look at the cool toy we found at the Lake today.. As you have guessed Louie tried to take it away from me.. He is always trying to steal my toys. I always managed to get it back since I am the "big' brother and I can run a lot faster than he can... :0)

Sharing?
That little Louie always wants the best toy in the
house which of course is the same toy that I want. Mom says we spend most of our time these days sharing this one. I like to play tug-a-war with the little guy. You got it, Gus always wins!!! I just let him think he is winning since Mom says that is what a good big brother should do...

Hanging with my brother
Mom took us out to do our business and she was excited when we decided to just lay down and be good after we had finished.. She was sure that we would start doing our wrestling thing. I like to wrestle with Louie but those little teeth are still very sharp so I have to be careful. I think my little brother is growing on me. Perhaps I will let him stay...

Aren't we handsome?
We went to the park yesterday and Mom walked both of us round. That little Louie thinks he is so big trotting next to me on his leash. I think it is funny since he has to take 4 steps to my 1 just to keep up. He was really tired when we got home. He slept most of the day. Now that made for a peaceful day!

Hey your taking my spot..
Look at this nervy little Louie. That is my window seat and he has claimed it for his own. First he takes my toys and now my window seat!! Although he did bring a few of his own toys that I like to take from him and play with myself.. I guess we will let him stay.. I sure hope he grows into those big ears of his!!! Woof

Zip
This is Zip, he is a blue heeler in need of rescuing.
Julie's email below:
Here is Zip's story. Zip came to us in Nov. of 06 after he was turned into a local emergency hospital. He has a lame foot that limits his movement from a previous injury that was not ever treated. Apparently, he had been thrown from a moving car when he was 3-4 months old and his rescuers never did anything to fix his foot, but instead turned around and turned him in 3 months later.
Please trot on over to Zip's page and check him out..

Louie's new trick
Look at Louie today. He has learned how to run up the stairs so no where is safe from my little brother anymore.. He does have a small problem with coming down. His little legs get going faster than his body and he ends up in a heap at the bottom of the stairs..

Wrestling
Mom got a picture of us wrestling. That is a lot of fun until Louie decides to use those sharp little teeth. This really tires the little guy out. Hopefully he will take a nap soon so that I can get a break.
We will just wait here for Dad to come home and then it is supper time.. Ya, supper the best time of the day!!

Louie's little sister
Today we are doing something different. Baby Love is Louie's sister, the only female from the litter. She never got adopted. Suzanne took her home at 4 weeks of age to give her extra attention - she was always seperate & alone from the others.
She is blind and has seizures. Her condition could be Hydrocephalus, fluid on the brain. She has all the symptons. It will take anm MRI to determine which is about $2,000.
Her adopted Mom is trying to raise money for this MRI so please wander over and take a look at her website. http://www.helpbabylove.blogspot.com/

Still hanging out at the lake
Here we are still at the lake.. We had so much fun there. I was busy sniffing new smells and Louie was busy just taking in all the new sites. He doesn't hear anything so he watches to see what I am interested in. We saw lots of dogs walking and little people playing on the playground... Maybe Mom and Dad will take us back there this weekend...

Me and Louie at the park
It was a nice day on Sunday so Mom and Dad took us to the Lake. We walked around the little lake and enjoyed the sunshine. Mom says that Louie did really well on his leash. He seems to be learning really fast not to pull on the leash. Mom says I still need to learn that. I am always in a hurry to get there first..

Sleeping with little brother
I don't know what it is about going to the Vet that tires us out so much. Those nurses there are so fine. They like to hug me and let me give them kisses and chew on their ears. They tell me I am so handsome!!!! Oh and Louie got lots of loving too.. The only bad thing is we have to get shots. Woof that is bad...

He even relaxes like I do!
Look at my little brother, he is trying to look just like me. Hey that is the way I lay down and relax. I guess he is learning fast how to be just like his big brother!!
We went to the vet today so we have been sleeping most of the afternoon. Mom thinks it is great since Louie woke her at 5:00 AM this morning... Dad thinks he has already figured out Mom's weekly schedule..

checking out the couch
Sis is letting Louie sit on the couch with her. He thinks it is great being a big dog. Sis got upset with him though because he kept chewing on her. Now we can't keep him down from there...
Mom brought home a carrot for him to chew on but I keep taking it away.. Don't know if he will ever quit that biting and chewing..

Don't we look good together?
We don't know which one should lead and which one should follow.. I think I won this one because I am the biggest. Still can't grasp that sharing thing. That Louie always has the best toy and I have to take it away from him. I just don't think he realizes that I was here first so I should get first choice. Biggest dog wins right???

Waiting for Dad

We are all worn out
I played with that new little red thing most of the day yesterday and Mom caught us both sleeping. That little guy can be such a pill always picking at me, chewing on my tail and nipping at my heels. He even had the nerve to steal my chew toy. Mom and Sis gave me another one. I guess he is staying!!

Looking up to my big brother
Well he is still here! He is a "red" blue heeler. I think he is just plain funny looking with those big ears and stringy legs. Mom says he will grow into all that but I still am not sure that I want to let him stay.. He is always nipping at me with those sharp little teeth.

Check out my new friend!!
We went to the lake this morning and then we took a really long drive to a place called Justin. Well I thought we were just there visiting this little beast but Mom and Dad put him in the truck and brought him home! I am not sure what to think of him. He is quite the instigator. He continually picks at me.
Mom and Dad adopted him. His name is Louie and he is deaf. I will keep you informed as to whether or not I think he can stay!!!

Thinking of You
This is me & mom !
Dad takes good care of me, but there is just something about having mom around that makes any problem I have seem small.
Just wanted you to know I am thinking of you mom. I can't wait for you to get home so we can go to the lake and play.

The Sugargliders
Gus,
This is Cousin It,
I have been elected by the Sugar Glider clan (through due process) to represent us in continued negotiations for your protection of us from the dreaded cat clan that wanders the neighborhood.
Let it be known that "we" informed Dad of the cats plan to send you to the pound, and as always, we will continue to leave you little "squirrel cookies" in appreciation of your continuous protection.
All hail Gus !!!
Thank you again,
Cousin It

Your lucky
Gus,
This is Schmed talking, your lucky, sis caught us using the phone to call the pound on you and she banished us from the house.
But remember, she can't watch us all the time and without mom & dad here to protect you, it is only a matter of time before we send you to the pound to become the next rescue puppy ...............
The other cat ...........
