Hey Gus! My name is Gus too, and I came from the Justin Animal Shelter just like Louie! My mom is a volunteer there. It is SO COOL that you agreed to give Louie a forever home. There were 4 other doggies (dachshunds) here with my mom and dad. They agreed to let me be part of their herd, even though I am an American Pit Bull Terrier, not a doxie. Although I'm not so sure dad agreed willingly.Just be warned that once moms start noticing homeless puppers, you might be amazed at who shares you house with you! I know dad breaths a sigh of relief every time mom comes home from the shelter empty-handed. All the best to you and Louie!!

I am keeping an eye on my mom, I haven't heard the shelter word but I heard mom say we are going to see all the wonderful ladies at the vet this weekend !!!
