Herding Saturday!

We both got to herd today. Louie was very mellow when it came to the sheep. He just followed Dad around the big pasture. He did seem like the happiest dog in the world while he was out there..
I am still having issues with trying to chase the sheep. I was doing better though the trainer said that at least on my second turn I didn't bark at them.. We can't wait till next Saturday. We are both sleeping now after our hard days work..

Louie actually got the stick!!

Louie actually went into the water and got the stick all by himself this time. He was so proud when he came out to the water with it.
Of course I was checking out other smells at the lake so I didn't even see mom throw the stick..

Here we go again. I get the stick and that Louie takes it away... He is such a pest.

We have some sad news Louie's sister Baby Love is not doing so well. Her shunt has fallen out so she is having seizures again. Drop on over and give her and her Mom some words of encouragement..

Update: Just heard from Baby Love's mother, she has opted for the surgery needed to re-attach the shunt, the doctors have her (Baby Love) on steroids to minimizes the fluid on her brain until they get surgery schedule !!!!

Happy Dogs at the Duck Pond!

Mom got a couple of "Happy Pictures" of us at the duck pond. She thought Louie looked silly with the specks of pollen on his face..

This little guy didn't seem to be frightened of us at all. He just stood there and let mom take his picture. Even though I barked and barked at him he didn't run away. Dad thinks maybe he too was deaf like Louie....

Jumping together!

Mom caught us both jumping the log at the same time. It wasn't long ago that I was always first now it seems that Louie can keep up with me..

We did go to the lake yesterday but it being Memorial Day weekend there was lots of humans there. We went for a nice long walk while Dad dug for treasures. It was getting very hot very fast so we came home to relax in the air conditioning..

Herding with Dad

I got to herd with Dad for a bit today. I did manage to slip out of my collar and chase those nasty sheep. I chased to fastest one while Dad tried to capture me. I almost caught him too..

This is what you do when you find a dead fish!!

Mom didn't realize that I was rolling on a dead fish until Louie dug it out of the ground. Darn he ruined my fun again!!! I still have a lot to teach that boy..

Louie thinks that he has me this time. Little does he know that I am still the "Big" brother..

We are hoping for good weather this weekend so we can spend some time at the lake... With a long weekend there has to be at least one day of nice weather for us...

Happy Barkday to me!!

You got it I am 4 years old today. Sis is upset because in dog years I am now older than she is. Last year when she was 21 we were the same age but tomorrow she will be 22 and I am 28.. He he I think that is pretty funny...

Mom also has a blogger milestone. This is her 550th post. Way to go Mom....

Enjoying the cool air!

We are just enjoying the nice cool air from the new air conditioner. Mom says we were a big help keeping track of Austin and making sure that he did everything just right... We want to tell Austin Thank You.....
We are so lucky that we got that new air conditioner. Mom's thermometer read 102F on her way home from work..

Lots of humans at the lake today. Mom couldn't even let us off our leash but we did go for a very long walk so we are napping now...

Here we go again!

Time for some bittie face again. This is our favorite pass time at the lake along with sniffing out some treasures.. Mmmm lots of yummy bones are waiting for us to find..

Helping Dad!

We are really good at helping Dad at the lake. He wonders around with his metal stick looking for treasures. He usually finds a few cents here and there. Sometime he even finds them laying right on top of the ground.. All he needs to do is follow us around we find really good treasures. Edible treasures like bones and things...

Steam Engine!

Isn't this cool? We saw this cool train on our way to our herding class. Mom said it was a steam engine used a very long time ago to transport people to different places. It gives human's rides on weekends in Grapevine..

Sorry this is so late. Sis graduated today and Mom has been busy all day getting ready for the party tomorrow. Cooking and cleaning. Mostly cleaning. We just don't understand why she is sweeping up all that beautiful dog hair?? She keeps saying that I have an evil twin!!

I think Louie is going to loose this one...

We are just a blur... It sure is fun playing chase at the lake.. Mom doesn't mind since it wears us out and we sleep like babies when we get home..

Not really sure who is herding who here. Louie is pretty good at this. He always takes the shortcut and he is always baiting me.. We will see next Saturday who is better at chasing sheep!!

Louie found this corn cob at the lake. Some human left a perfectly good corn cob laying around again. What is up with this? Corn cobs are for chewing. There is still some tasty nibblets on there...

Well it is almost Friday. We can hardly wait. We are supposed to have a beautiful weekend so hopefully we can get out to the lake again..
