Here he comes Mom!
We herded that bird right to Mom and look at the picture she got. Isn't he beautiful? The 2 reds did a great job.. Mom thinks the bird is called and egret. What a funny name for a bird..
They sure had a lot of fun chasing it whatever it is called..

We think you should frame that last pic! He looks so peaceful. Just think how un-peaceful he would be if he landed near you guys!
So did you manage to take down that bird ? BOL !
We have bird herding doggies here too. They keep the geese off the golf course. That is one big bird you found.

..."Egrets, I've had a few;
But then again, too few to mention.
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption....
(blah blah blah...)
...I did it my way...."
Hee hee hee.
Love,
Ammy
What a gorgeous egret. Good job that the reds sent him into the perfect spot for the photo.

That is one big and beautiful bird! Good job on herding it for some fantastic nature shots! We have Grey Herons and Little Egrets on my island, but I haven't gotten the chance to flush any out yet.
That is a great shot of that birdie!

Hmmm.. bird herding. I've tried it too but you may have more luck with two. I see it's just the reds. That must mean something in the blue man is not wasting his time.
We have good news. Velcro's mom sent us some herding info Checking into it.
Sweet heeler dreams counting sheep.

That picture is like a postcard it is so perfect! We have egrets where I live in the summer and some great blue herons too. My mom's favorite is the night heron - she says it looks like the Hunchback of Notre Dame!
Pedro
Would they have known what to do with it if they caught it?LOL!
Great pics. As always - love them!
Our guys spent quite a while at the pond yesterday - they are so pleased the ice is all gone...

All the dogs at our dog lake keep trying to catch those things for their human's dinner. We think it would roast right up, just like a turkey. None of the PEOPLE seem to agree ...
Ooh--pretty!!
