Charlie Daniels?
Callie's little ears are not fully developed yet even though they are very big!! When she runs they droop. She is pretending to be Charlie Daniels..
Again she is trying to jack that ball from us and it looks like she is accomplishing it...
Tomorrow we are off to herding again. I sure hope those sheep are up for us!!

I got it..
That Callie stole our ball again.. Can you believe her looking so smug? Louie brings the ball to Mom and this little pest steals it. She hasn't figured out that you have to take it back to Mom so she can throw it again...

Do you see her?
That little girl wants to play chase with me but she is hiding behind that pot. I can see her!! She thinks she is a herding star. I will certainly show her..
The weather has turned cooler here in Texas so we are "Feeling our Oats" mom would say. We love playing chase in the backyard..

The kids are playing bittie face again so I decided to just observe. Let them run and wear themselves out. It is definitely more peaceful in the house when they are sleepin!!

Give me that brush!
She jacked Louie's brush again.. She is such an instigator.. She loves to run so anything to get Louie to chase her. Mom doesn't mind since all the running wears them out and they will be calm when they come in the house..

Fighting or hugging? These 2 are always playing bittie face. Mom caught them in full teeth..
That little girl is getting so big. She went to the Vet on Saturday for her checkup and to get her heartworm medicine. She weighed in at 22 pounds..
Not a baby anymore..

That is one big stick!
Callie found one of the BIG sticks in the backyard. Of course Louie tried to steal it from her. I just stood by and watched. That is what big brothers do. Just let them work it out for themselves...

Louie the kangaroo!
This is for all our Ausi friends.. Doesn't Louie look like a kangaroo without the pouch? Mom caught him in mid jump as he took off after me. I was checking out the neighbors pups next door.
Of course I always get in trouble when I play chase up and down the fence. I know this when she yells "Gustensen"

My Perfect Stay!
Dad was so proud of me. He told me to stay while he opened the gate to put the sheep in and I stayed right were I was supposed to. I am getting this herding stuff down.. Maybe soon Dad will take the leash off like Louie!!

Louie may not look like he is paying attention but those sheep seem to know he means business. As you can see Louie's bubble is much smaller than mine. I guess I am a bit more intimidating that Louie!!

I Got Him Dad
Dad let go of the leash today to see what I would do with the sheep. Well I didn't eat him but I did keep right up with him. Dad said this is NOT a controlled drive. I need to work on this! Calm is supposed to be good when herding sheep.. Of course that Louie is almost too calm. He is showing some promise though...

Through the "Z" shoot
This isn't a great picture but in herding there is something called a "Z" shoot which you need to move the sheep through in a controlled manner. Louie figured this out in no time. He actually got them through there three times. His favorite part of the sheep game is pushing them into a corner and holding them there. As you can see Louie isn't on lead and he isn't attacking those sheep. Show off!
He did chase the sheep a couple of times but he didn't manage to keep them all together..

Keep up Dad..
Come on Dad I got these sheep under control. We need to run them down the fence and put them in the corner... I did pretty good today with my herding. I still need to work on my barking but I am getting better. I just get so excited when I see those sheep. Then I had to get them out of the center pen and there was sheep on both sides of me. What do they expect?
Louie did well. He is so mellow in his herding. Mom will feature him tomorrow..

Guess where we are going tomorrow?
The sheep are ready and so am I. Louie will probably walk around and eat poop but not me I want to chase those sheep. Mom is worried that I will have forgotten everything after so long but I intend to make her eat her words...

That's one big stick Callie!
Callie doesn't really care how big the sticks are that she tries to chew on. Even the big stump in the backyard is fair game..
Mom has had a class at work all week so she hasn't been getting home until almost 5. She said she is so proud of Callie for holding all her pee-mail and not going in her condo. She does make sure that she runs her right out when she gets home..
