While we were out touring last weekend we came across this really funny looking thing. It had a very hard shell and it could hide its head in it. Mom said it was a painted turtle. We found it in the middle of the road so Dad quickly got out and sent him on his way. Mom and Dad were afraid that someone might run him over with a car and he would not make it to his destination.

Look at this funny looking creature
While we were out touring last weekend we came across this really funny looking thing. It had a very hard shell and it could hide its head in it. Mom said it was a painted turtle. Wow- you get really interesting creatures where you live. We only get lizards who loose their tails when you try to grab them!

Thank for your comment C-K-C. We too have lizards that loose there tails when you grab them. They give me the heebie geebies though. We used to have a cat that loved to bring them in the house....
