What is Dad doing?

The goats were not cooperating today. First Marti and Venus tried to herd them and they just wouldn't do anything. Then Lori got her dog Mavrick out and he couldn't get them to herd. Well Lori said "That's enough, where is Gus." Yepper I was the big guns. Those goats didn't have a chance. Of course there was this one that wouldn't do anything so Dad scooped him up and carried him. I stayed real close to make sure Dad did it right..

I see you Louie!

Callie has her eyes on Louie. Not sure who is going to attack first. As you can see she still has those Dumbo ears going. To bad they are all decorations she could really use them.. Each of them practices their stalking on the other..
We have a beautiful day here in Texas. It is like 75 degrees and the sun is shinning. Sure hope this weather stays around for a while..

Relaxing!

This is the way that silly girl sleeps. Mom tried to get her sleeping but she woke up. She was sound asleep in this position.
We have a really sloppy day here today. It was foggy and wet this AM. The weatherman says warm tomorrow and Saturday and then the arctic front comes in again on Sunday... What is up with this weather?

I got them Dad!

I was supposed to put the sheep in the corner and look I did it. I even did my "down" like Dad told me. Dad was so proud of me.
Still cold here in Texas. We had a bit of rain and some flurries last night so the bridges were iced over this AM. Mom made it into work with no problems. Darn we were hoping she would stay home with us..

When can I go?

Callie goes with us herding but she just sits there and watches. She oh so wants to get out there with those goats. Besides they are still her size!!
Yesterday we had 80 degree weather and this AM it was 29F. Can you believe that. The wind is blowing like 50 mph and it is just plain cold out there.. What is up with this weather. Of course it is the humans that don't like the cold. Us heeler's have nice warm fur jackets so we don't mind at all..

Mom he's deaf!

Here is a good example of how goofy Mom is. Can you see her. She is talking to Louie, telling him where to go. Dah Mom he is deaf!! He can't hear you.... He does have an unusual way of kind of knowing exactly what she is saying though. You think maybe the pup has some heeler instincts?

The stand off!

I thought I was going to challenge that goat but the goat had other ideas. Mom missed the picture of me actually getting head butted.. The little goat was really persistent almost as much as I was.

What a big stick!

Louie found a huge stick to chew on. He doesn't really care how big it is as long as it is tasty... Callie can jack this one but she has a hard time running with it. She usually drops it and Louie gets it back..

Who's winning now?

As you can see she is growing. She seems to have the upper paw on Louie.. He still has her when it comes to a zoomies contest. He likes to just tease her by loping right behind her..
Well another unusual day in Texas weather. This AM it was 29 degrees and tonight on the way home it was 61. You never know what to wear here..

Playing in the fog..

We were up yesterday morning before the sun actually came up. Mom caught a picture of us playing in the fog. Mom is sorry the picture is a bit blurry but those red heeler's are so fast.. Callie thinks she is Miss Princess of the bench here.. Jacking that crazy brush again..

Everybody Was Kungfu Fighting!

Callie is growing up so fast. Look she is almost as tall as Louie. They are practicing for the next Paw-lympic's! This is their kungfu moves!

We have a really nice day here in Texas today. The sun is shining and just a bit cool. It is definitely a good day for heeler's to play outside.. See how happy I am? I am busy watching the kids play hoping to get my chance to jump in..

I hear something and that Louie is on guard patrol. He doesn't hear but he has learned to take my lead.. Callie is oblivious to us. She if off somewhere playing zoomies with herself. Silly girl..

It's mine!!

They are at it again.. That brush sure makes its rounds. We can do this for hours.
Thankful Thursday, we are so thankful for our brush and Mom and Dad. They always make sure we get to herding class on time and of course all the wonderful treats we get... We are also thankful for all our new and old blogger friends.. We really love visiting all of your blogs each day...

Callie is sucking up again.. She thinks if she loves on me I won't wrestle with her.. Although that is one of her favorite pass times..
Good news on the computer. We were able to recover all mom's pictures.. She is ecstatic.

Flying?

Callie can fly. Just look she is flying over that log. She is doing one of her zoomie things where she loves to run and jump..
Well Mom is using Sis's computer today. She is hoping she hasn't lost all the pictures that are one her computer. She has been taking pictures since 2006. She has pictures of when I was a pup on that thing. Guess we should have been more careful when we were rough housing yesterday..

Oooopsss

The wild heelers three got to wrestling tonight and knocked mom's laptop on the floor, now the hard drive is going, click, click click. We are hoping that it is only the boot sector but have our doubts !!!!

Goats!

Although it was a bit nippy today and the wind was blowing we got to go herding. As you can see we actually got to herd the goats.. The idea is for Mom to lead and us to follow behind the goats. See what a good job Louie is doing..

My Brush!!

This brush is the best toy ever.. We can fight over it and chew on it and if we take it to Mom she will even through it.. Of course we had to jack it from Callie...

Daddy's Girl!

Callie thinks it is fun to help Dad with the computer.. Of course she also always jumps into his chair when he isn't there. She likes trying to drink what ever Dad has left there. Dad doesn't think this lap business is going to work when she gets to be 40 pounds!! Guess she had better enjoy it while she can...

Apples!

Can I help Dad? Mom and Dad were canning apples today. Dad was busy peeling and Louie was busy eating the peelings.. They did manage to get like 16 pints of what you call apple pie filling. It looks really yummy. Now we have to get Mom busy at making the pies!!

Just a bluff!

The little one was out playing chase one more time. Mom caught her as she zoomed by..
Mom and Dad were home today painting again! Louie managed to get paint on himself. He always likes to lay were Mom is painting.. Maybe Mom needs to put up a wet paint sign?

Huddle Up!

What better to do on a Sunday than to huddle up and decide on the play. Shall we play zoomies or bittie face? Hey why not both!!
Mom and Dad have been busy again today. Dad painting an Mom cleaning. She wants to get things in shape for Turkey Day.. Mmm Turkey!! We can hardly wait. Sis and her boyfriend Jason are coming over and of course brother Toph will be here.

It is a bit cool here today but Heeler's don't really mind. The cooler the more reason to play zoomies in the backyard..

Play time?

That little girl is teasing again.. She hasn't slowed down one bit after her zipper installation.. Mom takes us out when she gets home to let us zoom around the backyard to wear off some of our energy. It has worked today. We are all napping right now..

Another friend at the Zoo!

This is Hermie one of our sugar gliders. She is one of 5 in our house. All the Heeler's have to go into their houses and the cats have to go outside while Dad lets the little ones out to play.
Pedro thought we needed to post a picture. Cousin It is in Dad's shirt and wouldn't come out for the photo shoot..

Goats!

Lori our herding instructor got some new members for her flock. You got it, they are goats. They are just little now and so cute so no herding them yet. Mom even got to pet them for a bit.. Lori said the are a bit more intelligent than sheep so the dogs will have a bigger challenge when herding them... We sure can't wait until they get big enough..

Louie gets his chance!

Louie was working on him fetch too. He was a bit confused as was Mom. The idea is for Louie to get behind the sheep and bring them to mom. Well Louie changed his strategy yesterday. He became the aggressor which was unlike Louie. He enjoyed chasing the sheep for the first time. We are still trying to figure out what changed...

I got them!

We were busy learning our fetch today. Here Gus is bringing them back to Dad. Of course it is supposed to be a more controlled fetch. Not chase them around the field as fast as you can only to bring them back to Dad..
Little Callie even got a chance to bring the sheep into the smaller pen. Well she was busy eating sheep poop and not really paying any attention to the sheep...

She's back!

She back and feisty as ever.. She just couldn't wait to be off those doggie downers and be free from the leash. She hasn't stopped the zoomies and bitty face for a day. Oh well she did slow down to sleep but bounced right up again this AM ready to play..
Mom came home and let us all run. I think she has another motive in mind here.. Perhaps wearing us out so we will be calm in the house?

We had to stay off the porch while the humans talked smart and ate. What is up with that. Why wouldn't they want 8 dogs on the porch with them??
They did come out and play with us after they were finished eating their yummy food.

Molly!

Poor Molly had surgery a few weeks ago so she wasn't allowed to come and play by the fire. As you can see she kept he eyes on all the goings on from in the house..
Next time we visit she should be well enough to run with the pack...

We had a big fire while at Suzanne's and Steve's.
Mia was not to interested in enjoying the zoomies going on so she just sat in her chair and watched.
It was rather chilly out Saturday so the fire felt really great.

We had a great time with the Cole family! We had some awesome chicken on the grill that Steve made along with broccoli casserole, and some wonderful bread that Suzanne made. Of course we had the best dutch oven cherry coppler ever. Mom and Dad had never had that before. Mmmm Suzanne made sure that all of us got to taste the bread.. Thank you Suzanne we will be back real soon for more..

Heeler's being good?

We are trying to be so good since Callie is healing up. See we are both doing a good "stay" We sure hope she gets better soon. The good stuff is for the birds..
Tomorrow we are off to see Suzanne and Steve and the girls. Callie has to be calm. She usually just stays on the porch anyway so that is a good thing.. We will have pictures for you later...

My shaved tummy!

You can see her shaved little tummy here. She slept most of the evening next to Mom on the couch. Louie and I are a bit jealous of all this attention. She still has all that fire when her downers wear off. Dad thinks that when she gets those stitches out she will wear those us 2 out..

She's Home!

Callie is home. We have to keep her on the doggie downers to keep her from running, jumping and climbing stairs.. As you can see they are working... She has to stay calm for 7 to 10 days and then we go back and have her stitches taken out..

Where is Callie?

We keep looking in the backyard for that little Callie but we can't find her. Louie does a complete walk around the entire backyard everytime we go out..
The vet called and said she made it through the surgery just fine and that we can pick her up tomorrow.. I think perhaps we do miss that wild thing...

Little Miss Callie has to go into the Vet tonight. Mom said she is going to get her zipper put in so she doesn't have any puppies. Mom is kind of silly. She will have her surgery tomorrow and we can pick her up on Wednesday..

Practicing herding?

Since we didn't get to go herding yesterday I thought I needed to practice my skills. The little one makes a good sheep!! She is a bit faster than those sheep but she makes some really good cuts. Who knows maybe she is practicing on me too..

Mom and Dad were busy painting again today. How boring. Mom did leave the backdoor open so we could be inside outside dogs..
No herding today. Next weekend we are off to see Suzanne and Steve again. We just can't wait to play with the girls..
